Version 0.22.0 adds a real forest opening, a ladder and a cave beneath the surface. Didga now has a dedicated climbing animation to take him between the two parts of the world.

An opening you can go through.

A four-by-four opening leads eight world units below the clearing. The ground has an actual gap there, making the ladder part of the route into the cave.

Root Hollow Cave is an eighteen-by-twenty rocky chamber with crystals, two torches and small hanging rock formations. Warm pools of light and darker corners give it a different atmosphere from the forest while retaining the textured, early PlayStation direction.

Hands, feet, and the next rung.

Twenty new authored climbing poses supply four frames across five views, with mirrored directions. They keep Didga’s approved purple armor, brown hair and power gloves consistent as the camera turns. The original character artwork remains preserved.

Climbing is controlled: hold a direction to move along the ladder, release it to stay on a rung, and reverse direction when needed. The new drawings show the alternating hands and feet instead of reusing a run.

Go down. Come back up.

Approach the ladder in the clearing and press C or Space to grab it. While attached, W climbs up and S climbs down. The contextual Climb down or Climb up button also makes the trip.

Touch and controller players use their jump action near the ladder to begin, with their movement controls handling the climb. Physical-controller climbing has not been verified. To return from the cave, approach the same ladder and climb toward the surface.

Once below, you can walk through the doorway and around the chamber. Turn the camera and adjust the zoom to inspect the rocks, crystals and torchlight, then head back to the ladder.

Keep the surface adventure close.

The twelve surface stars, three runes, starter and Breaker gloves, lookout seal and Gobma encounter remain part of the adventure. There is no extra set of stars underground. Gobma stays on the surface, while the player’s existing health and recovery rules continue below.

What has been checked.

All 387 game checks and 15 website-package checks passed. An integrated route using the actual world physics, surface combat and progress completed the down-and-back trip in 18.87 simulated seconds, visiting both torch areas with no damage, respawn or warp. That timing describes the software route, not the manual playthrough.

Native browser play separately verified the keyboard grab, manual descent and ascent, stopping and reversing on a rung, the contextual climb route, movement through the cave doorway, camera orbit and zoom, and returning to the forest. That run retained one collected star and six hearts with zero respawns. Opening the recorder while attached to the ladder paused both the climb position and animation, with the microphone still off. These captures come from the local native browser checks; the published build receives its own release verification.
