The visual direction is a hybrid: a real 3D stage, pixel characters and painted scenery, with the atmosphere of early PlayStation adventures.

The terrain, cliff faces and tree trunks give the forest depth. Illustrated foliage and distant mountain and woodland layers keep the world connected to its painted beginnings. Those layers shift as the camera moves and turns.

Let the light tell the time.

The sun and moon move through the sky. Low sunlight brings a warm palette, a view-facing glare and longer shadows across the terraces. At night, the sky cools and trail lanterns illuminate nearby surfaces and characters.

The Weather & light controls let you compare sunrise, noon, sunset and midnight, hold a time of day, or watch a faster sky cycle.

Painted clouds, changing moods.

The cloud direction moved from simple faceted forms toward illustrated formations placed at different depths. Their colors respond to day, dusk, night and storm conditions. A painted star panorama supplies the night sky.

Weather touches the ground.

Rain adds puddles and ripples to terrace surfaces. Winter introduces illustrated snow textures and drifts, blizzard adds individual flakes, and autumn leaves collect on the ground.

These effects are visual in the current prototype. They change the atmosphere without changing jump physics or adding weather damage.

The forest is still being refined, but its mood is already part of the adventure. Explore it, then open Weather & light and see the same place in another light.
